Aurora believes that the provision of extended learning opportunities to enhance cultural experiences is a right for every student in our schools. We achieve this through:

• A comprehensive and diverse range of trips and visits annually for all year groups
• Opportunities to explore the locality and also to extend horizons by travelling beyond the local area
• At least one high quality residential trip to further develop life skills
• Opportunities to participate actively in high quality presentations and performances in front of large audiences
• A range of visitors to develop and enhance cultural experience
• A rich variety of after-school activities and clubs
• Encouraging active participation in extended learning opportunities such as STEM activities (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths)
• Ensuring there is an appropriate balance between participation and competition to suit the needs of all students
• Providing inspiring careers advice by working in close partnership with external organisations, secondary schools and further/higher education providers
