Our School
I am delighted to be able to welcome you to Glenleigh Park Primary Academy and to our school website. We are very proud of our school and hope that you find the information here useful. I also encourage you to look at our Facebook page to see many of the exciting things that happen at school, every day.
Glenleigh Park Primary Academy is a two-form entry primary school, situated in Bexhill. We currently have 400 pupils on roll, from nursery through to Year 6. We are proud to offer nursery places for children aged two to four.
Glenleigh Park Primary Academy converted to Academy status in September 2012. We are one of seven schools across East Sussex, Brighton and Surrey, run by Aurora Academies Trust (AAT).
We believe that every pupil should achieve their full potential and all staff are committed to ensuring this happens. Alongside a commitment to academic excellence, our school is strengthened by our four core values of ‘Growth, Perseverance, Positivity and Achievement’. We consider these to be integral to our pupils’ success and well-being. Together with our fundamental belief that all children at Glenleigh Park Primary Academy have the right to learn, the right to feel safe and the right to feel good about themselves. It is these values and beliefs that enable us help us to instil a love of learning and a commitment from all pupils, staff and visitors to work hard to achieve their full potential.
Our curriculum is planned so that it actively teaches the children to think deeply about the content, to transfer skills and knowledge across curriculum areas and to make connections between concepts. Our aim is to create children who are independent thinkers and learners who are able to seek solutions creatively and cooperatively, developing their enquiring minds so they have the skills and confidence to ask and answer questions
I am so proud of the staff team here at Glenleigh Park Primary Academy and I know that through their continued commitment and dedication we can provide an engaging, inspiring and well-designed curriculum that meets the needs of all of our pupils.
