HEAD OF SCHOOL UPDATE – 18/12/20
Dear Parents/Carers
Welcome to my final update of the year!
Today marks the end of term 3 and what a term it has been. We have so much to be proud of and celebrate; our Super Sporty Santa Dash, the Terrific Times Tables Rockstars dress up day, Anti-bullying Spotty Socks day and our Fun Festive Christmas dinner and jumper day – to name but a few. Alongside all these awesome activities, the children have worked incredibly hard in all the curriculum areas and I am especially pleased with the progress they have all made with their reading, writing and maths. I am sure you agree, the children have shown such resilience and determination to achieve over the past few months – well done to all.
I also want to thank you all, despite the current pandemic and the difficulties Coronavirus has thrown our way, you have been so supportive of the school and helped us with ensuring the safety of the whole school community. I recognise that, in sending your children to our school, you are putting great trust in us, both to care for and to educate them. This year, this could not be more true. So thank you for continuing to believe in us through this challenging time, particularly when there must have been times of real worry for you. The supportive emails you have sent mean a great deal to the staff team and the generous gifts and cards of thanks are so appreciated.
I know that Christmas will not be the same this year, but I hope you all have a truly wonderful time with your families, celebrating safely and joyfully.
Finally, although 2020 has been a year of considerable complexities, I am sure you will agree that we have worked together to provide your children with the safest and most effective education possible.
Take care, stay safe and let’s hope 2021 is kinder to us all.
Mrs Pocock
