HEAD OF SCHOOL UPDATE – 19/3/21
Dear Parents and Carers
As you know, we have four values at Glenleigh Park – Growth, Perseverance, Positivity and Achievement. Every day at school, the children are encouraged to uphold these values and to role model these ideals in all they do. This week I have seen so many children demonstrate the school’s values; from our youngest children in reception, who were persevering with developing their star jumping abilities, to the oldest children who have been achieving such high standards of creative writing through studying the incredible book ‘The Arrival’ by Shaun Tan.
The buzz around learning has been evident in every corner of the school!
Since returning to face-to-face education, the children have all shown personal growth, academic growth and above all character growth. Not just in the classroom but at lunchtimes and during transition times. When I shared my whole school assembly theme on Monday, being there for each other, I was so pleased with the children’s feedback – they all expressed that being together back in school made then feel safe and they enjoyed being part of the school community.
Being positive about school is such a powerful thing; your help as parents and carers in fostering a positive attitude to school is so important – thank you! Thank you for ensuring your children are in the correct uniform, that your children attend school every day and for making sure they read daily. With your continued support, we know, we can help every child at Glenleigh Park reach their full potential.
Have a wonderful weekend
Best wishes
