HEAD OF SCHOOL UPDATE – 23/10/2020
Dear Parents and Carers
Wow – what an end to the term!
I want to start by thanking the PTFA for planning and organising today’s Halloween Event. All the children looked incredible in their costumes; the school has definitely had a spooky, and altogether ooky feel today.
It has been a busy term but there has been such a positive feel in the school and everyone has worked hard to make the term a success – thank you.
In our featured photo this week, you can see some of our Year 1 children learning about The United Kingdom; locating some of the landmarks and labelling the different countries. This is one of the many, amazing activities the children have enjoyed this week – it was great to see our young children developing their geography skills.
Also, we have been busy filming our promotional video, Steven Morely (film producer) spent two days with us filming and directing across the whole school. The children were all excellent performers; I am sure we have some Hollywood stars in the making. But most importantly, Steve shared that he thought the children’s behaviour and enthusiasm was excellent – well done children.
Finally, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of the pupils and staff for their hard work and commitment during Term 1, and to extend this thanks to all of our families, who have shown great support during this first term of our full-reopening.
I wish you all a very enjoyable half-term break and I look forward to welcoming all of the pupils back to school on Wednesday 4th November.
Best wishes Mrs Pocock
