Heads Update - 3/12/21
Good afternoon and welcome to the first update for December.
This week I have enjoyed listening to all the creative, and rather mischievous, antics of all the Elf’s on the Shelf. The excitement around Christmas has been magical and I am very grateful for your understanding and support with the changes we have had to make in how we share the children’s performances with you.
Despite the current Covid situation, it is feeling very festive in the school and the children have been fortunate to have the opportunity to visit Elfridges over the past two days. The smiles and delighted faces of all the children, as they leave with their Christmassy parcels has been wonderful to see.
In addition, this week we have taken part in a virtual competition where schools in the area have competed against each other by completing a series of tasks. In KS1, they completed the Animal Olympics whilst our KS2 children completed the X-Fit Challenge. You can see form my photos that the children enjoyed the exercises immensely and mastering the plank was no trouble!
Finally, I want to say a huge well done to all of our children in Year 2 who have had their Phonics Screening Checker this week – every child gave their best and we are pleased with their achievements. Miss Pierce is proud of them all!
Have a wonderful weekend.
